Best Books of 2019
I read a lot of books this year - 200! That’s 76 more than I read in 2018... I wasn’t even sure that was possible.
Now, I love to write and read, but I’m not going to re-review all of these books. If a book is on this list, it is one that I really enjoyed and recommend. You may notice that not all of these are books that earned 5 stars. Many I only rated 4 stars, but not all 4-star books made it on this list, and there are even some 3-star books.
I have gone back through all of the books that I read this year and these are the ones that stood out and that I love!
Rich Bitch: A Simple 12-Step Plan for Getting Your Financial Life Together...Finally
You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth
Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person
Outer Order, Inner Calm: Declutter and Organize to Make More Room for Happiness
Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals
Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy
The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals
Duped: Double Lives, False Identities, and the Con Man I Almost Married
The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery
How to Give Up Plastic: A Guide to Changing the World, One Plastic Bottle at a Time
Do Less: A Revolutionary Approach to Time and Energy Management for Ambitious Women
The Case for Jamie (NOTE: this is from a series, and is not the first book)
Emotional Agility: Get Unstuck, Embrace Change, and Thrive in Work and Life
The other 170 books I read were good too - well, most of them. You can save some time and effort by using the books on this list as a starting place.
All of these books I would happily read again and some even have gotten onto the “books I need to buy list” - which is a very privileged place to be.
I definitely am not going to try and read 200 books again next year, instead, I’m going to try and be a bit more intentional about the ones that I read. But you’ll hear more about that soon.
Until next time,
